Ja Rule has unsuccessfully tried to get his gun possession case dropped and now his lawyer says that they’re going to continue to fight the charges.
The rapper’s argument was that the police did not have a cause to search his car after a concert which resulted in the authorities finding a .40-cal unlicensed handgun.
The judge denied the motion this morning, but did say that Ja Rule admitting he had “a little weed” in his pocket at the scene will not be used against him.
But gun possession charges are serious and they carry a mandatory minimum of 3 and a half years in prison.
Ja Rule will be in court next on March 3 and it’s looking like he could be joining fellow rapper Lil’ Wayne in the clink!
