Tis the season for the CRAZIES! And this guy is a doozy!
A man in Atlanta gave holiday shoppers quite a scare yesterday evening when he threatened to blow up the mall with a bag of dynamite.
Forty-five year old William C. Caldwell III arrived at the suburban mall dressed as an elf and headed directly to the line to meet Santa Claus. When he reached the front of the line, he announced that he had dynamite in his bag and intended to blow the place up.
Not really the present he had hoped to receive, Santa quickly called mall security and Caldwell was taken away.
Thankfully, the man wasn’t carrying any explosives, nor were there any found on the premises, but the mall was evacuated as a precaution. The “elf” faces several charges, including having hoax devices and making terrorist threats.
Not to be nit-picky, but if the guy was planning to destroy Christmas, shouldn’t he have dressed up like the Grinch.
Obviously, his plan was poorly devised. Thankfully!
